Love these pans! September 5, 2010 Stephani I was looking for a pan that food wouldn't stick to and didn't want the pan to flake into my food. I found that pan! Food cooks very nicely and the pans clean with ease. Not being able to use the dishwasher isn't even a bother since they clean so easily!
Great for the weak September 3, 2010 kayjo
I know little about cookware but was surprised at the weight of the pots and pans. I feel the pots and pans are lightweight and the lids are very heavy. I think I would be upset if I cooked but they look great in the cabinet!
Disappointed with terrible customer service from Calpalon July 19, 2010 Pamela Schafer 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I invested in this set almost 4 years ago. I had this set for less then 2 years when I noticed that some pans were showing signs of peeling. I never washed the pans in the dish washer and I only own bamboo and plastic utensils so I knew the peeling was not from my neglect. I called the Calphalon customer service number and was told I would need to ship the entire set back (at my own expense). I was told it would take 6-8 weeks before I would be notified whether or not the cookware was going to be covered under the warranty. If the cookware was not going to be covered I would be responsible for return shipping on the cookware set. NOT the kind of customer service I would expect from a company as well known as Calphaon. I have purchased cheaper cookware at a big box store and had it last longer then 2-4 years. I will have to replace this cookware and will not be doing it with any products in the Calphalon line.
I love this set (so far)! March 15, 2010 Krissy, PA 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this set 2 weeks ago at Kohl's after a lot of online research and I love it. It is heavy but not too heavy. Heats quickly & evenly and is super easy to clean up. I wasn't worried about not being able to put it in the dishwasher because I never put any of my non-stick in there anyway. The lids fit very nicely also. For the price I think this was a great value and I am very happy with them!
Made in the USA March 7, 2010 Dulcimer Player (Silver Spring, MD) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this set at the beginning of December and it came with a 12" everyday pan free. Overall I am very happy with this set. It is made in the USA, although the free everyday pan is made in China. I have owned several other pieces of Calphalon nonstick cookware, some made in the USA and some in China. It has been my experience that the Calphalon made in the USA under goes stricter quality control tests and the nonstick coating last longer. On a side note Calphalon pieces stamped "Toledo, OH" on the bottom are made in the USA. These piece are made in the spirit of the legendary Calphalon quality. Calphalon pieces made in china are of average quality at best.
I enjoy cooking with this set because almost nothing sticks and when it does clean up is a breeze. Usually I just fill the pan up with soapy water, wipe it with a sponge and anything cooked on comes right off. The silicone covered handles stay cool. These pans are not dishwasher safe and you can not use cooking spray on them. Only use plastic or wooden utensils on low to medium heat.
